A study of 455 patients with knee osteoarthritis demonstrated that Apos® improves gait pattern, pain, function, and quality of life within 3 to 6 months.
UK patients suffering from symptomatic knee osteoarthritis were treated with a biomechanical, foot worn device (Apos®) that was individually calibrated to alleviate knee pain and promote neuromuscular training. Following 3 months of treatment, patients walked faster, taking longer steps, and showing better ability to support their body weight on a single limb. In addition, participants in the study reported having less pain and functional limitation and better quality of life. All clinical outcomes further improved after 6 months of treatment.
