A new class of

biomechanical
technology

The uniqueness
of AposHealth®

Developed by orthopaedic and sports medicine specialists, AposHealth® treats knee osteoarthritis and other MSK pathologies by redistributing the pressure on the joints of the lower extremities, pelvis and spine.

Using a footworn biomechanical device, this non-invasive, medicine-free treatment program integrates with the patient’s normal routine and requires only about one hour of use daily. The patient is monitored throughout the course of their treatment program by an AposHealth® Certified Physiotherapist (ACPT). As the patient’s gait improves, the ACPT adjusts the device to stimulate continued gait improvement and pain relief.

How
AposHealth®
works

AposHealth® is a foot worn device that eases joint pain through the knee, lower back, hip and/ or ankle with its biomechanical technology by:
  • Reducing load on the painful areas and significantly reducing pain
  • Retraining the muscles, and ultimately correcting the abnormal walking patterns – even when not actively using the treatment

For many people who use it regularly, AposHealth® is like a reset button for the body.

AposHealth® harnesses biomechanics and neuromuscular training to enhance joint stability, appropriate muscle activation and proprioception, normalising gait patterns via a pain-reducing, effortless, at-home, cost-effective treatment programme.

The system is backed with extensive scientific and clinical evidence, showing significant improvement to patients’ pain and function levels by using the device for only around 60 minutes daily.

4 easy steps

Backed by extensive clinical research

An independent double-blind randomised controlled study published in May 2020 by the peer-reviewed Journal of the American Medical Association showed that 92% of the patients treated with AposHealth® reported more than a 30% reduction in pain while 83% reported more than a 50% reduction in pain. Currently, over 50 peer-reviewed publications support the science behind AposHealth® as well as the clinical effect of AposHealth® in MSK conditions.

Covered by the NHS

The NHS strives to offer a better quality of healthcare while managing increasing budget constraints.

To address these challenges as related to musculoskeletal pathologies, there is an ever-growing need for innovative, cost-efficient and effective treatments and medical devices.

Currently working with a number of CCGs, AposHealth®’s business model for the NHS delivers a person-focused treatment regime, with outcomes that outperform current treatment options at lower cost.

Numerous AposHealth® patients report significant pain relief as early as their initial consultation when trying the AposHealth® device for the first time. The treatment has been thoroughly researched, with over 50 published papers including independent prospective studies – with further research in progress. According to clinical trials on knee OA patients, 87% experienced clinically significant pain relief3,5,8 and 88% experienced improvement in mobility3,5,8. And in a patient satisfaction survey done on NHS patients diagnosed with knee OA, 98% of patients said they would recommend the treatment to friends and family1.

Having treated over 98,000 people worldwide, AposHealth® is available in the UK and is covered by several insurers.
It is registered with the FDA and CE marked by the EU. It is appropriate for patients of all ages, including the elderly.

How
AposHealth®
is different

AposHealth® doesn’t just treat pain in the legs and lower back, it treats the cause of the pain and its symptoms.

Compared with other options – such as painkillers, injections, surgery and orthotics, it is easy to appreciate the unique benefits of AposHealth®.

AposHealth® is an innovative, personalised, drug-free and non-surgical treatment for knee , hip and lower back pain, which has been clinically proven to alleviate pain and improve mobility. Developed by doctors from the fields of orthopaedics and sports medicine, AposHealth® is based on established scientific principles of biomechanics and neuromuscular control. The therapy utilises an individually adjusted unique biomechanical footworn device and is performed as part of a patient’s day to day activities. AposHealth® is able to redistribute the forces that contribute to the pain in our joints, whilst simultaneously re-educating the brain and muscles to work more efficiently again, thereby creating healthier walking patterns and improved function. To date, AposHealth® has helped over 98,000 people in the UK, US, and Israel.
